When Largo Homeowners Call Us

People in Highland Avenue and Ridge Road usually call after noticing:

You added a room and comfort changed
Lightning damaged the thermostat or wiring
You want humidity control from the thermostat
Backup heat runs too often in winter

How the Work Goes

Each zone gets its own thermostat so different floors can hold different settings. A common wire is added where a smart thermostat needs one. Heat pump staging and backup heat lockout are configured correctly. We show you the schedule and settings that make sense for Florida humidity.

Neighborhood Factors

Summer thunderstorms over mid-Pinellas regularly knock out boards and thermostats with lightning surges. Taylor Lake and Central Park neighborhoods have mature trees that shade roofs but load outdoor units with leaves and pollen. Largo mixes 1960s and 1970s ranch homes, 55-plus communities and manufactured-home parks, and thermostat installation work has to fit each style.

West of Seminole Boulevard toward the Intracoastal, homes pick up more salt air than those near East Bay Drive. Many Largo homes near Rosery Road and Highland Avenue have garage air handlers feeding ducts that run straight into a hot attic.

Factors We Weigh

Variable-speed equipment may need a compatible communicating thermostat. Heat pumps need thermostats configured for heat pump operation. Older wiring may lack a common wire for smart controls.
