Signs It Is Time

We hear these reasons most from Starkey Road and Central Park:

A remodel changed the cooling load of the home
Your current system uses older refrigerant
Your outdoor unit is corroded beyond repair
You want a quieter outdoor unit

What the Visit Includes

Installations are scheduled during our regular weekday hours. Airflow, refrigerant charge and temperature split are measured at start-up. Thermostats are configured for heat pump operation so backup heat only runs when needed. Heating mode is tested along with cooling before we leave.

Know Your Largo Home

Additions and enclosed porches are common in older Largo houses, and those rooms are frequently the hardest to keep comfortable. Manufactured homes along Ulmerton Road and Starkey Road often have belly ducts and package units that need a different approach than site-built houses. Park rules in Largo manufactured-home communities sometimes set work hours and placement limits, which we confirm before heat pump installation.

Bardmoor and the Walsingham area include golf-course homes where condensers sit close to irrigation and mowing debris. Summer thunderstorms over mid-Pinellas regularly knock out boards and thermostats with lightning surges.

Details That Change the Plan

Attic air handlers need safe access and a secondary drain pan. Duct condition matters as much as the equipment, and leaky ducts undercut any new system. Homes near Missouri Avenue with coastal exposure may benefit from coated coils and stainless hardware.

Anything specific about Largo homes we should mention?

Taylor Lake and Central Park neighborhoods have mature trees that shade roofs but load outdoor units with leaves and pollen. Largo mixes 1960s and 1970s ranch homes, 55-plus communities and manufactured-home parks, and heat pump installation work has to fit each style. Telling us details like these up front helps us bring the right materials.
