Emergency AC Repair in New Port Richey, FL

Gulf humidity makes a broken air conditioner in New Port Richey feel worse fast. Indoor air turns sticky, walls and furniture start to feel damp, and older homes with less insulation heat up quickly. Many residents in the area are retirees, and for older adults a hot house can become a health concern. Nolan Air treats no-cooling calls across 34652, 34653 and 34654 as priority work.

Urgent AC calls are moved up the schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM; evening and weekend visits depend on availability. Call (727) 353-9293.

Schedule Service Call Now

We want to be straightforward: Nolan Air does not run an around-the-clock dispatch line. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Evening and weekend visits are offered when a technician is available, and we will tell you honestly whether we can come today or first thing tomorrow.

Situations We Treat as Urgent

No cooling at all, or warm air from every vent
Water leaking from a closet air handler onto floors
A burning or electrical smell from the system
A breaker that trips again after reset
An elderly or medically vulnerable person in a hot home
A condenser fan that will not spin while the compressor hums

Steps to Take While You Wait

If you notice burning smells or loud buzzing, turn the thermostat off and switch off the breaker. If water is leaking, shut the system down and catch the drip. Check the filter. Close blinds on sunny windows, run ceiling fans and keep heat-producing appliances off. If anyone in the home is struggling with the heat, consider spending time somewhere cool until the repair is done.

What Happens When We Arrive

The technician focuses on safety and getting the system running. We check power, capacitors, contactors, drain safety switches and refrigerant pressures. Most common failures can be fixed with parts carried on the truck. If a larger component must be ordered, we explain the timeline and any temporary measures.

After the Emergency

Once cooling is restored, we note anything else that looks close to failing, such as corroded wiring or a weak motor, so you can plan ahead. A yearly AC tune-up catches many of these issues before they cause a breakdown, and our AC repair page covers routine repairs.

Shut the system off, catch the drip and call us.

Morning Calls Help

The best chance for same-day help is a weekday morning call. That leaves time to fit you in before 7 PM and to pick up a part from a supply house if needed.

Older Closet Systems and Overflows

Many homes near Main Street and in Gulf View or Jasmine Lakes have the air handler in a hall closet with no secondary pan. When the drain clogs, water goes straight onto flooring and baseboards. If that is happening, turn the system off right away; a cleared drain and a new float switch often restore cooling the same visit.

Keeping Family Informed

If you are calling for a parent or relative in New Port Richey, we can coordinate with you by phone, explain what we find and send written notes, so you are not left guessing from out of town.

Nolan Air is a veteran-owned contractor, and all work is completed under Florida license CAC1819932.
