Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Manager to join our team and support our operations with efficiency and professionalism.
The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations at Nolan Air Heating & Cooling by managing procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a focus on maintaining optimal inventory levels and timely material delivery. While primarily focused on operational and administrative tasks, the Purchasing Manager will occasionally assist with customer service duties, limited to no more than 25% of their time.
Procurement & Vendor Management: Source and purchase equipment and materials from vendors, obtain competitive pricing from multiple vendors, and negotiate terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
Purchase Orders & Returns: Prepare and process purchase orders, handle returns, and resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors promptly.
Delivery Coordination: Ensure timely delivery or pickup of materials, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to meet project deadlines.
Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels for the warehouse and each service van, conducting regular checks and updates to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Customer Service (Limited): Serve as a customer service representative by answering phone inquiries and assisting clients, with this duty capped at 25% of weekly workload.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and vendor interactions; collaborate with the team to support operational efficiency.
Proven experience in office management, procurement, or inventory control, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with inventory or procurement software (preferred).
